In 1976, when Georges Lautner and Philippe Sarde imagined the instrumental passages of the soundtrack to 'Death Of A Swine' (Mort d'un Pourri), they immediately agreed to use the smooth timbre of the saxophone. They not only invited Stan Getz to come to Paris, but also Billy Hart (drummer for Miles Davis) and the musicians of the London Symphony Orchestra.
The recording sessions took place at the English CTS studios, where also John Barry's 'James Bond' scores had been recorded. This reissue has the soundtrack taken from the original master tapes, and includes three bonus tracks.
