Now available as an expanded vinyl edition, Francis Plagne's 2019 album 'Rural Objects' was recorded at home in suburban Melbourne while under the influence of John Ashbery's poem of the same name. On 'Rural Objects' Plagne sketches 14 landscapes, ranging from the bucolic to ethereal, using a wide variety of instruments (guitar, fretless bass, synths, keyboards, percussion and flute). Joe Talia appears as a guest on drums. 'Rural Objects' was originally available as a tape/digital release. The LP (edition of 300 copies on black vinyl) comes with a full-colour sleeve and an insert featuring charcoal sketches by the artist.
