Joel Chadabe is a composer, author, professor at the New York University and internationally recognized pioneer in the development of interactive music systems. In 1966, he began to experiment with a Moog synthesizer at the State University of New York at Albany. He worked with Bob Moog to build a four-track mixer with piano keys, and later they worked on a synthesizer with sequencers, which they called the CEMS (Coordinated Electronic Music Studio). 'Chabade & Moog' is the first volume in a series of four, and is a retrospection of the music by Joel Chabade. The music recorded on this album comes form the period between 1966-1972.
