On this album the Norwegian duo pushes some of the hard hitting, mechanically textured aesthetics of their previous release 'Fullstendig Brent' to the forefront. A dystopian commentary on the risks inherent to the antagonistic nature of humankind, and how the overwhelming and uncertain scope of Industry 4.0 - of progressively more powerful technology and strong AI - may end up amplifying those risks beyond human control. Given this conceptual framework, Dodsmaskin have aimed to develop a sound palette that shifts between both droning and pulsating brutality that represents unstoppable forces in motion and bleak atmospheres that denote an age of growing futility and - ultimately - self-inflicted extinction.
