Limited to 500 copies and including an insert with photos, here are the 1976 GAM tapes with remastered sounds. On this LP Günther Schickert is joined by Axel Struck and Michael Leske. A powerful trio of mindexpanding krautrock sounds, they recorded their first sessions in 1976, improvising directly to tape in Schickert's basement. These recordings weren't released until 1986, when they appeared on the cassette format. The CD-reissue followed some years later. The sound of '1976' differs a bit to that of the previous effort 'Samtvogel'. Obviously, this is a band effort delivering their guts in a one take session, while on 'Samtvogel' Schickert played all the parts.
