Often regarded as "the pinnacle of German expressionism", the silent, black & white film 'The Golem' was the last of a series of three films by director Paul Wegener. It was released in 1920. In 2008 prolific Pixies frontman BLACK FRANCIS was asked to compose an accompanying soundtrack to the movie, for the 51st San Francisco International Film Festival. That score is featured here.
