The master improviser Chie Mukai, who has long fascinated the world as one of the representives of the Japanese psychedelic/improvisation scene, and the young guitarist Yonju Miyaoka, who has produced as Shuko No Omit the most talked-about works from An'archives, are the two new generation P.S.F. Over the past few years, the two have deepened their friendship across generations, and now they make their long-awaited CD debut as a new unit called Chie Mukai and Yonju Miyaoka. Chie Mukai (Ché-SHIZU), an erhu player with a cult following in Japan and abroad, has been performing her unique style for over 40 years. Yonju Miyaoka has been quietly attracting attention both in Japan and abroad with her work in Bunsuirei, Shuko No Omit and Sayozoku. These two artists of different generations, who naturally gravitate toward each other based on their aesthetics and sensibilities that they can somehow communicate without saying it out loud, have a chance encounter that transcends generations in their gentle, song-filled performance and mysterious songs.
