He also performed his violin renditions of ‘Empire State of Mind’ and ‘Black & Yellow’ on the morning show. Josh also did an interview and performed live on Cleveland’s Z107.9 with Colby Colb on December 17, 2012. Josh performed to several hip-hop songs live and received numerous messages on Twitter while on air from listeners who said they thoroughly enjoyed Josh’s fusion of the classical with the hip-hop. He also had the pleasure of opening for Jay-Z’s Roc Nation artist, Bridget Kelly, that night at the House of Blues Cleveland and was very well received. Vietti has also performed at Austin Fashion Week in 2011 and 2012, and recently performed at the Governor’s Mansion in Austin, TX for the Formula 1 US Grand Prix event that was held in Austin, sponsored by Circuit of The Americas. Josh was also featured on Eminem's SiriusXM channel, Shade 45 in NYC on September 13, 2012, on the Sway In The Morning Show. After the interview he jammed live on air to a loop of Led Zepplin's 'Kashmir'. Josh has played the violin since he was four years old. At the age of seven, he received a violin scholarship with virtuoso Mischa Lefkowitz of the LA Philharmonic and studied with him for over ten years. In 2006, he decided to make a career out of his passion for music. He started playing as a street performer at local venues around Los Angeles. As a street performer Josh engaged the crowd and created his own concert hall by playing pop, jazz, hip hop, country and gospel, with his own improvisational style. Through this humble 'pay if you like it' approach Josh has made the acquaintance of the entertainment elite, performing in front of Clint Eastwood, Sela Ward, Les Moonves, Julie Chen, Bruce M. Ramer, David Boreanaz, Blues Brothers Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi, and Vicente Fox. Josh Vietti has sold nearly 50,000 demo CDs from the trunk of his car.
