Following two fine '60s-tinged garage-rock albums, the Portland-based unit featuring the husband and wife-team of Steven Denekas and Tamar Berk have moved on to the next decade for inspiration. 'Dawn Of Paradise', issued on DOUBLE-LP, sounds like a tribute to classic '70s rock operas s.a. The Who's 'Tommy', Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' and Yes' 'Tales of Topographic Oceans'. Along with drummer Thom Sullivan and bassist Allen Hunter, Steven and Tamar bring both craft and passion with a larger-than-life vision. The album was produced by Ron Nevison, the engineer for The Who's 'Quadrophenia' and Led Zeppelin's 'Physical Graffiti'.
