The eight tracks on the debut-album by this Spanish band
navigate through despair, from gloom and doom vibes, up to a
more strong and powerful kind of metal. The music is technical
and progressive, but also rooted in classic metal and rock.
It's not death metal, but most of the vocals are in a death
metal style. Thyrant is not a classic rock band, but the
'80s-tinged double guitar parts and melodies are classic rock
and metal. It's not thrash metal, but a track like 'E.O.S.' is
really thrashy. This is no black metal, but there is a presence
of ancient evil spirits. For fans of Maiden and Priest, Enslaved and Obituary, Carcass and Slayer.
