Tiny Legs Tim is one of the most important artists in the contemporary Belgian roots scene. Following his successful studio-album 'Stepping Up' (2015), his fourth album, 'Melodium Rag', is going back to basics. It's a stripped-down album on which Tim, armed with an acoustic Martin 017 guitar from 1943, searches for the essence of music. Steven Troch (on harmonica) adds accents and shines at just the right moments, while creating an energized atmosphere. Tiny Legs Tim is inspired by acoustic duos like Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, and Mississippi Fred McDowell & Johnny Woods. His own distinctive voice is however found here in the refreshing mixture of fingerpicking, Delta blues, shuffles, country, folk and rag time.
