Tampa, Florida legends the Tropics released a stack of great records in the sixties. But none of those singles is more coveted by garage collectors than the 1966 masterpiece 'You Better Move,' a tambourine-bashing, harmonica-wailin', epic screamer. With its super-threatening lyrics, delivered in a pathologically aggravated state by lead vocalist Mel Dryer, this record serves as a master class in anger mismanagement. 'You Better Move', incidentally, was co-penned by guitarist Buddy Pendergrass and a former Tropic, Dave Burke (who'd soon appear on two Standells albums). The B-side finds the versatile Tropics in a Byrds bag, with the jangly, expertly-sung original 'It's You I'll Miss'.
