A regular collaborator with Ebo Taylor, Thomas was a mainstay
of the '70s and '80s Ghanaian highlife and the country's
Afro-beat and -pop scenes, hitting big with the Ghana Cocoa
Board-sponsored Sweet Beans band. Thomas' 2015 album reunites
him with old friends including Ebo Taylo, who provided horn
arrangements, legendary drummer Tony Allen (present on several
tracks), Osei Tutu (trumpeter of cult band Hedzoleh Sounds) and
prolific 1970's bassist Ralph Karikari (The Noble Kings). Also
appearing are some of the younger generation's stars, for
instance bassist Emmanuel Ofori, percussionist "Sunday" Owusu and Pat's daughter Nanaaya, who's an acclaimed vocalist in her
own right.
