'Hamsterdam' is a baroque folk-pop-psych concept album which tells the story of a little mouse named Tomas. The album has an amazing production and features beautiful compositions with delicate vocal harmonies, harpsichords and strings. The music reminds of the best late '60s/early '70s British folk-pop sounds. Think Fairfield Parlour, Duncan Browne, Nirvana, Nick Garrie, Kevin Ayers, Pete Dello, with an additional touch of '70s Spanish soft-rock à la Solera, or CRAG. The album comes housed in a wonderful cover by Oscar Sanmartn, who's famous for his work with El Nio Gusano.
