Who are the Praise Pardners? The Praise Pardners provides music and song for the worship time at the “Worship Up, saddle up” cowboy ministry of Troy (MO) First Baptist Church. Their style/sound is hard to classify – it is a combination of bluegrass, country, gospel, classical, and others. It is Gospel based, simple, and pleasant – a sound you are sure to enjoy. The members on the album range from 14 to 76 years old (at start of recording). This same death/decay we experience due to the sin which mars an otherwise “very good” creation (Gen 1:31). The anticipation of the new life of spring often enables us to endure the hardships that come with the lifelessness of winter. In the same way, the Light of the World piercing through the gloom provides a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Pet 1:3). A place with no more tears, no mourning, crying, or pain (Rev 21:4). An inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away (1 Pet 1:3-7) truly can be yours “Over in Glory Land”. Still, the Pharisees (Matt. 23:13-36)and the rich man (Matt. 19:16-22) were more intent upon doing things their way than fixing their hearts on the Lord. But, even while we were dead in sin, the Father loved us (Rom. 5:8). His will is for us to be with him in Glory Land (2 Peter 3:9). Just like the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32), God waits steadfastly for us, and rejoices when we realize His love.” “In Luke Chapter 15 starting with verse 11 Christ passes on a story about a man whose younger son demanded his inheritance early. The son proceeded to squander it in a distant country, and ended up hiring himself out to a “pagan” who relegated him to feeding detestable pigs. The ironic thing is that at this point the son wished he could eat so well. He came to his senses, and purposed in his mind to go back to his father in repentance, not expecting anything more than to ask his father to make him one of his hired men. The words of the son to the father were (Luke 15:21) “Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son”. The father restored the boy and celebrated with a feast. If you have wandered from the Lord, or if you have never come to the Lord in repentance and faith, do so now, do so today. He'd always had these big ideas of being out on his own, He wanted more excitement, the urge was there to roam. John's mind was made, he wouldn't stay, he planned to leave that day, So he took what he had comin', then turned and walked away. The years went by, and Dad would cry, praying for his boy, I knew his heart was broken, in him there was no joy. The are also the fundamentals to your salvation: Admit you are a sinner, Believe Jesus died for you, Confess your sins. I get to be at that station when the Lord calls us near. I've got a ticket in my hand, stamped destination promised land. I'll get to see my Savior smile'n as I step up off that train. Abraham, by believing God became our example, and through his faith was justified, becoming a friend of God (2:23). (Refrain) 8) They Came (Words and Music by Michael K. Herndon, ©2013) “While the word “Trinity” is nowhere to be found in Scripture, the concept is clearly presented. The Father, Spirit, and the Son are seen throughout. The physician Luke spoke of all three in Acts 2:32-33 when testifying about the resurrection of Christ: 'This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses. Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father of the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear.'”” Lyrics: There came a Light from Bethlehem for all the world to see; The way to Heaven through the gate, though narrow it may be. The Father, Spirit, and the Son came to earth as one; The Blessed Holy Trinity, a lamp unto our feet. Hallelujah, Immanuel; Hallelujah, Immanuel. 9) He Bore My Sin (Words and Music by Randall Penberthy, ©2013) “Don't let anyone fool you – nothing in life is free – someone, somewhere pays the cost. God's free gift to us is no different. What cost are you speaking of, you ask? The cost of our sin: God cannot allow our sin – your sin – into his presence, not even just a single, seemingly minor sin. He is holy, perfect, and just. Deep down, we all know this – our conscience tells us this. That is why we constantly try to justify our actions, to do our own good works to try to make up for them. The first half of Rom 6:23 states “For the wages of sin is death ...” You see, when man works, he receives a wage for his efforts. However, none of man's efforts can please God. Isa 64:6 teaches us that “... we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” In fact, these wages are actually a penalty – a debt, a judgment against us. However, note that there is Good News – the second half of Rom 6:23 tells us “but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Christ paid our eternal judgment of death. He bore our sin; He paid the cost. When we realize we are no longer on “death row”, we can all joyfully exclaim “My debt is paid, I've been set free. Blessed be Your Name!!!”” Lyrics: He is the name above all names, Bearing the burden of my pain, There on the cross He took the blame For all my sin He took my place upon the cross, He gave me hope when all was lost, Our God Incarnate paid the cost For all my sin. While we will escape punishment (the second death) for our sin, our works will be evaluated by the Lord. While our works do not save us (Eph 2:8-9), living “A Beautiful Life” will lead to rewards in the Glory Land (1 Cor 3:10-15).” Lyrics: Each day I'll do a golden deed by helping those who are in need. In regards to the this, John 5:28-29 teaches us that, one day, “all who are in the graves will hear his voice, and come forth”. Both in this passage and toward the beginning of Daniel chapter 12 we are told that some will rise to everlasting life and some to disgrace and everlasting contempt. The latter will probably wish they were still in the cold, cold ground.” Lyrics: Some people say they don't believe in the resurrection day. Don't be taken in by those who say such foolish things. A life giving Spirit, straight from Heaven He came. Because of Jesus, this I know: no grave's gonna keep me down. Jesus is the Son of God, one third of the trinity. His very name tells what he does: Jesus saves, yes He saves. Don't let your sins control your life, confess them here today. Or you'll wish you were still in the cold, cold ground, come the judgment day. I know that I am just the seed of the man that's yet to come. I have no doubt, I do believe Jesus died for me.
