In 1961, the Belgian born Brel was in his prime. Included here are studio recordings, songs performed on the French 'Rendez-vous avec Jacques Brel' TV special and a selection of the best interpretations of his songs to that time by contemporaries that range from Juliette Gréco, to Yves Montand, to Sam Cooke.
